The Celts

6th class showed off some superior questioning skills today, leaving poor teacher feeling very clueless about the capabilities and organisation of the Celts in Ireland.
For example,

  • while they lived in large clans made up of extended families, did the females all leave when they married?
  • How did they discover iron and how did they figure out the process of smelting it to make weaponry?
  • Did they have classes and school-type organisation or how did they pass on knowledge and skills?
  • If the druids were regarded as the wise men and judges of the clan where did they get their skills?
So, boys and girls, as you know, the best way to learn is to find out for yourselves!
We will be having a celtic-themed drama class this week, so read up on these ancient ancestors of ours and come armed with information!
