Congratulations Under 10's!
Here are some of the new Cavan champions.

Best wishes to all the Killygarry under 10s in the final tonight in Breffni Park.

We especially send good luck wishes to Cian R, Ben, Jack, Dylan, Patrick, Connor and James.

Hope all the Communion cake you ate today doesn't spoil your game!

First Holy Communion

The boys and girls in 2nd class made their First Communion on Saturday.

They had lots of jobs to do, from readings and prayers, to bring up the gifts, singing and carrying banners.

They were very respectful and reverent in the church and we are all very proud of them in St. Brigid's.

Congratulations 2nd class!

Storyteller visit

We had a visit today from author and illustrator Oisin mc Gann.

He talked to us about how he started to write stories. He brought in a notebook where he writes down any ideas that he gets.

He told us about how much he loves to draw pictures about his books.

He read "Mad Grandad's Flying Saucer" to us, and afterwards he showed us how he draws the pictures.

                                                        First he made very light pencil drawings, then he went over it all with marker.

He made a picture specially for our class.

Jedward will be representing Ireland in this year's Eurovision song contest.
