How To Play Conkers
how to play conkers you hold your string and try and hit your opponent's conker and try to smash it. If you hit it and it falls to the ground that means that you have won. If your opponent's conker gets tangled together the first person to say conker wins.
Mid-term activities
For those of you who want to keep busy over the mid-term, here's a few ideas!
- try this website we looked at in class helpmykidlearn.ie
- work on your cardboard challenge and send in some photos
- look for examples of Maths Eyes
- write a short story
- draw a picture of an amazing invention you have come up with
- look for roadsigns and place names in English and Irish so we can see what they tell us about that area

Water on top of mud
Oisin, Lleyton and Mai went outside last Friday and got mud, pebbles ,dry earth and then filled the bottle with water then we waited a weekend and all the mud fell to the bottom.We found out how to do it in School Oisin, Lleyton Mai were chosen to go out and try the experiment.
Cathedral visit
On Thursday 24 of October we went to the Cathedral for a visit. We were going to leave at 11 o'clock. When the bus came to are school we all got our coats and our sketchpads. On the bus everyone were talking about their Halloween costume.
When we got there Father Peter and Father Kevin were waiting for us,He talked about the Latin numbers on the top at the front of The Cathedral.We went inside and Father Peter then he gave us a tour.We went to the altar and he told about the history of the Cathedral.After that we asked lots of questions.Then we went downstairs we saw the bishops grave.Next we went upstairs and we could see everything from the balcony.We saw the bishops chair and some of us sat in it.We saw the Advent Wreath.Then went up higher where the bell was rung and there was a ladder where a window was and Father Peter let us go up the ladder.Then we went back downstairs to draw the stained glass windows.Some of Harry Clarke's stained glass windows.Then we got a bus back to school.
