NASA egg drop challenge!

6th class were presented with a NASA challenge today.
It was used by NASA to demonstrate the challenges of soft landing a spacecraft on Mars.
The class were given an egg (raw), some basic materials and the instructions that they had to be able to drop the egg from a variety of heights and the egg should remain unbroken.
After 40 minutes, the parachutes and egg were ready....

10 @ 10

This morning we did 10 @ 10. All the classes came out on to the yard. Mrs White did some stretches with us to get us all warmed up. After that sixth class went up on the benches to do some dancing, we did the Macarena and the conga. Everybody went around the yard doing the conga including the teachers. Everybody had a great time. Road safety day

Last week the RSA came to our school and did some road safety with us in the community centre they made a little village and we each got to play a different role such as a Doctor, Ambulance, Cyclist, Walker etc. There were little houses and traffic lights along the road and other people driving wheelies.

We had to sit down when we came in and she talked to us about how to be safe in a car and you have to be 150cm to be able to sit in the front and be 12 and over to cycle on the road by yourself.

At the end we got our picture taking for our safety licence.
