Cavan has a proud history in GAA with 5 All-Ireland men's senior titles and 40 Ulster championships to their name.
We got to see the famous trophy that is awarded to the winning team each year. This year the title belongs to Tyrone, but, maybe in a few years time, some of these pupils will be lifting it in Croke Park on All-Ireland Sunday!

Christmas
is coming ho ho ho
We
had Covid oh no no no
I
went home early from school
Because
if you’re sick that’s the rule
I
wanted to return the next day
But
mammy said at home you must stay
On
Saturday we did a test and it came back positive oh what a mess
Off
we went to Castlesaunderson on Sunday and waited for are results until Monday
It
was positive for the three monkeys and two negatives for the donkeys
The
Christmas decorations went up just as the Smiths got fed up
Our
day were long until we heard the sound of ding dong
and
it was teacher with books for me then I was not feed up from that day on
As
we counted the days our house became a maze
we
just wanted out but still we were still in doubt
Then
daddy got the bad news and that is when we hit the booze
So
if you don’t feel well be sure to use some hand gel.
And
if there is something wrong with your chest
be
sure to do an antigen test
After a power-cut and a promise of a day off, the electricity was restored in school and we managed to open a little later than usual.
4th class enjoyed some Christmas art and designed houses and decorations with a hint of Christmas 🎄🎅
