Sports Day

We had a great time at our sports day on Friday. We ran races, played rounders, basketball, jumped obstacles, got down on our hands and feet and played crab football, we had a lovely BBQ, we played Murder in the Dark, we assembled to watch our new Green flag for energy being raised, as well as our Active schools flag and our Killygarry flag.
We had a presentation of medals. We went home tired but happy!

First Holy Communion

The boys and girls in 2nd class made their First Communion on Saturday.
They had lots of jobs to do, from readings and prayers, to bring up the gifts, singing and carrying banners.
They were very respectful and reverent in the church and we are all very proud of them in St. Brigid's.
Congratulations 2nd class!
Here they are singing their song "Jesus is the bread of life"
