In class we are learning about various historical figures, from dictators to freedom fighters,  from writers to nurses and everything in between.

Hi Teacher here is some information about Nelson Mandela.
Rolihahla Mandela was born in Transkei,South Africa on 18th July 1918 and was given the name Nelson by one of his teachers.
He was imprisoned for 27 years and went on to become his country's first black president.
Mandela was educated at the University of Witwatersrand qualifying in law in 1942.

Mao Tse-Tung:
He was often called Chairman Mao
or Mao Zedong.
He was the leader of the Chinese
Revolution and he bullied landlords
and landowners into giving him property.
He was born on December 26th,1893
in shaoshan,China.
He died on September 9th 1976

Nelson Mondela was born on 18 july 1918 and served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.I 1962 he was arrested and convicted of sabotageand other chages and was sentenced for life in prison. Mondela served 27 years in prison,spending many of them years in Robben Island.In South Africa ,Mondela is often known as Madiba (clan name)or as Tata(Father).Mandela has received more than 250 awards over 4 decades,inulding the Nobel Peace Prize

Nelson Mandela got married in 1944. He rented a house that had a tin roof, a cement floor, a tiny kitchen, and a bucket toilet and was nelsons home for many years.
Their first child, a boy, named madiba thembekile
And a year later they had had a second child, a girl called makiziwe, who died when she was only nine months.
