WW II

Having been to the Anne Frank exhibition, and read about her life and of the suffering of the Jews,  we are very aware of the tragedy that was WW II.
Now though, we are looking at it from a different perspective. We read an excerpt from Carrie's War, about a child that was evacuated from London during the Blitz.
We are currently listening to an audio-book by Michael Morpurgo, called  The Amazing Story of  Adolphus Tips which is based on a  teenage girl writing her diary in a village which the Allied Forces have taken over to practice their attack on France to defeat the German army.
