There are lots of traditions around the world celebrating May Day, some date back to pre-Christian times and some are based around Christianity.

In Ireland, an old tradition was to decorate a May altar, with Mary as Queen of the May. Our school choir always sing "Queen of the May" during this month.

I made a simple May altar, some of you might try to do the same at home. It's a simple reminder to say a few prayers!
